Quality Line Marking Services in Central England
We believe that first impressions make all the difference and that’s why we ensure that our car park line painting is second to none. Our thermoplastics and commercial grade paints have been specially selected so that we can assure a quality finish that will reliably stand up against everyday wear and tear.
Thermoplastic line marking paint is the most common material for high-traffic roads and highways, due to its hard wearing and reflective qualities. For extra visibility and surface friction, glass beads and titanium dioxide can be added to the paint to improve safety.

FAQs for line marking in Central England
Our customers in Central England often ask for advice about our services, so we have put together a list of the most common questions:
While line removal can take place in any weather conditions, road markings should not be applied in wet weather. The materials can fail to bond with the surface in wet conditions, which defeats the object of applying them in the first place. The surface must be dry before any marking takes place. Forced drying by the use of a thermal lance or gas torch is possible.
Absolutely, even though road markings are designed to be long lasting and extremely durable, the use of professional techniques and specialist equipment makes line removal possible and efficient. Our services cause minimal disruption to traffic and the road surface itself.
The use of high-pressure water jets, also called ‘Hydroblasting’, can remove any line marking with absolute accuracy. This is a quick and easy way to remove line markings and can be performed at any time – while causing minimal damage to the existing road surface. ‘Scabbling’ and burning off line markings are also good methods of line removal.
This depends on the type of marking material being used. After a few minutes, Thermoplastic will be okay to drive on, while other materials will take longer to set.
The type of paint being used depends on the type of job being done. Most of our work is carried out with thermoplastic, which consists of synthetic resins and premix glass beads. When thermoplastic is not used, there are other high-performance resins we use. Methyl Methacrylate, also known as MMA or Cold Plastic we often use, but there are others such as: water-based paint, epoxy paint, acrylic based paint, and chlorinated rubber paint.
Before any marking paint is applied, preparation of the surface may be required. This may include making sure that the surface is clear of any obstruction and all dirt, dust & litter is swept away. The surface should also remain clean while the markings are applied. Concrete surfaces should also have decent quality tack coat applied before thermoplastic (hot or cold) is applied.
Thermoplastic road markings are quite popular due to their fast-drying capabilities. Thermoplastic markings take only five minutes to dry sufficiently. MMA cold plastic is also quick setting, but water-based and other road marking paints will take longer to dry.
